Overview

The SAMAHAN Communications NewsFeed 2025 is a responsive archive that brings together SAMACOMMS’ articles from previous years up through today, giving readers and administrators a single portal for publishing, browsing, and managing content.

Highlights

The NewsFeed is built on a comprehensive CRUD framework, providing editors with a streamlined, device-agnostic interface for full-spectrum content management. Through a clear, form-driven dashboard, users can effortlessly create new articles, review and search existing posts, apply updates, and archive outdated items—all with real-time previews to guarantee accuracy before publication. Advanced filtering and bulk-action capabilities accelerate article retrieval and batch edits, while its responsive design ensures a consistent, high-performance experience on desktop, tablet, or mobile. By centralizing every editorial function in a single, code-free platform, NewsFeed empowers teams to keep their site current and well-organized without any technical dependencies.

Process

From the project’s inception, we met closely with SAMACOMMS stakeholders to align on goals, user roles, and desired feature sets. In Figma, we sketched user journeys and iterated on wireframes until the core flows—publishing new articles, editing existing posts, and archiving older content—were seamless. Development proceeded in TypeScript, where we translated the designs into reusable, responsive components and wired up the backend API endpoints for article management. Regular demo sessions allowed us to gather feedback, refine interactions, and ensure the UI remained clear and performant. By launch, the NewsFeed combined polished visuals with robust functionality, and a final handoff session equipped the SAMACOMMS team to manage the archive independently.

Tech Stack

Client workshops established project goals and detailed requirements, informing the creation of interactive wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma. Upon design approval, the backend architecture was built with NestJS, delivering secure RESTful APIs, authentication flows, and database schemas to power all core features. The frontend followed, developed in React and styled with Tailwind CSS to embody the Figma designs and ensure responsive behavior across devices. Continuous incorporation of client feedback and rigorous iterative testing refined functionality and optimized both performance and usability.
