Developed the official website for SAMAHAN Palaro 2024, the annual sports event. The site acts as a central hub for event information, results, participant details, and behind-the-scenes content. Its simple yet polished layout ensures visitors can quickly find results, browse action‑shot galleries, and learn about the people who made the festival possible.
The winners listing page presents every sport’s champion alongside key event details and medal tallies, allowing visitors to instantly celebrate top performers and track overall standings without navigating through multiple menus. The behind‑the‑scenes gallery offers high‑resolution photo collections organized by sport, giving users an immersive look at candid moments from warm‑ups, award ceremonies, and team huddles; intuitive thumbnail navigation makes it easy to jump between galleries. “Meet the Technical Working Group” section details concise role descriptions and direct contact links, recognizing the contributions of each organizer and fostering transparency by showing exactly who is responsible for planning, logistics, and media coverage.
As this project's Quality Assurance Specialist, I meticulously checked the website to ensure functionality, usability, and responsiveness across different devices and browsers. In order to identify bugs and inconsistencies in the development cycle, I also collaborated closely with developers by rolling out detailed bug tickets and tracking them through resolution using Github. In addition, I verified fixes, ensured adherence to requirements, and contributed to improving the overall user experience by providing actionable feedback and documentation.
This project started off with a comprehensive design phase in Figma, where the design team developed prototypes and a consistent design system to guide the development process. Once the design was finalized, the project was built using TypeScript and Next.js, allowing for a robust, type-safe, and scalable frontend architecture that aligned seamlessly with the initial UI/UX vision.
